We met in 2010, when Alora began dating Nicholas – McKenzie’s older brother. Since that moment, we have been best friends. From horror movie double features at the drive-ins, seeing some of our favorites in concert, exploring Disney World, and traveling the world and so much more, we have been inseparable. 

Five years after meeting, we dreamed of one day starting our own business. Alora, 25, and McKenzie, 20, took their passion for planning birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, and anniversary parties for friends and family and created Leighann Marie. 

Fast forward two years, Nicholas popped the questions – FINALLY! Mckenzie was the Maid of Honor, of course! This was the perfect opportunity to dive into the wonderful world of event planning. 

Over the next 18 months, we planned every little detail, touring different Yachts in New York City, tasting food, trying on dresses, picking out the color scheme and theme. Inspired by Sex and the City with an Italian influence, Alora and Nicholas sailed along the Hudson River with all of their closest friends and family, saying “I Do” in front of the Statue of Liberty as the sun set. 

From this moment, everything changed. Not only did our passion transition to wedding planning but they were now SISTERS.  

We have spent the last 4 years in the Sunshine State, but due to COVID we had to postpone the launch of this next adventure until the fall of 2021. This last year we were reminded why we chose this life! From the amazing couple’s we have welcomed into the Leighann Marie family to the incredible vendors we have met along the way, it has made all of the tedious planning and hard work, worth it! We are thrilled to share our journey with all of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
